We are by no means experts on Porto, but here are a few things to see and do around town
Take a Douro River/Six Bridges cruise to see Porto from the water
Visit Port wine cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia
Wander through the Ribeira waterfront and across Dom Luís I Bridge (especially for sunset views)
Climb Torre dos Clérigos for panoramic views
Visit Livraria Lello, one of Porto’s most beautiful bookstores
Explore São Bento Railway Station (its tile murals are iconic)
Tour Palácio da Bolsa (Stock Exchange Palace) and the Church of São Francisco in the historic center.
Visit museums and cultural spaces (e.g. Serralves Museum/Park, Contemporary Art, Photography Center).
Take a day trip to Douro Valley (wine region) or to nearby cities like Guimarães, Braga, Aveiro.
Try Porto’s specialties (e.g. Francesinha sandwich) and join a food/walking tour.
Catch a performance (theatre, Fado, concerts) at Teatro São João or Teatro Sá da Bandeira.
Watch Porto wake up (or wind down) in cozy cafés, explore lesser‑visited neighborhoods, and enjoy the slower pace of November.
